Creating custom username list wordlist for bruteforciing

Creating custom username list wordlist for bruteforciing

During brute-forcing every time you need custom  password list & username list. Username list is as well as important as password list, it should be unique for every organization.If we use traditional large number of username list , then it will be tedious process.Custom username list also useful in username enumeration.

Creating custom username list:-

(1)Jigsaw:-

During information gathering stage , you may use jigsaw script. It is great script for gathering employees `s details like fullname, position, department, email addresses.You should use script with your jigsaw credential.

some times email address`s initial can be username of employee.So you can get different username from output of jigsaw script.

(2)Username script:-

If you have full name of users then you can use username.py script to generate possible username by using different combination of first name & last name.

I also write bash script which generate possible username using first name, last name & birth date.

Creating Custom word list:-

(1)Cewl:-

Custom Word List generator. CeWL is a ruby app which spiders a given url to a specified depth, optionally following external links, and returns a list of words.

(2)Wyd:-

wyd is a password profiling tool that extracts words/strings from supplied files and directories. It parses files according to the file-types and extracts the useful information, e.g. song titles, authors and so on from mp3s or descriptions and titles from images.

(3)Cupp:-

People spend a lot of time preparing for effective dictionary attack. Common User Passwords Profiler (CUPP) is made to simplify this attack method that is often used as last resort in penetration testing and forensic crime investigations. A weak password might be very short or only use alphanumeric characters, making decryption simple. A weak password can also be one that is easily guessed by someone profiling the user, such as a birthday, nickname, address, name of a pet or relative, or a common word such as God, love, money or password.

Creating custom shortcodes codes in Wordpress

Creating custom shortcodes codes in Wordpress

If you need some custom shortcodes, you have to add a few lines in your themes function.php file.

First, create the function that you want to use. In this example well just make the text red between [red][/red].

 function makeRed($atts, $string) {
return <span style="color: #ff0000;">.$string.</span>;
};

Next we need to register our function.

 function register_shortcodes() {
add_shortcode(red, makeRed);
};

Finally, we need to make the whole thing work.

 add_action(init, register_shortcodes);

Creating a custom 404 Not Found page in Apache Server

Creating a custom 404 Not Found page in Apache Server

DEMO
You might have seen a 404 page on different sites such as Google,Yahoo etc... You can make this on your website too if you are using Apache Server. The default 404 page will be like this :
Its just simple plain HTML 404 page and its ugly. To Change the default 404 page Do as below.
Go to your sites folder.
Create a file named .htaccess (just .htaccess no name only file extension).
Open the file and add the line.
ErrorDocument 404 /pathtofile
Replace /pathtofile with your 404 page file name which should be situated in the same folder as the file .htaccess . The custom 404 file can be in PHP or HTML.
You can also add HTML to it like this:
ErrorDocument 404 <html><head></head><body><h1>404 Not Found-Subins Blog</h1></body></html>
You dont have to reload Apache Server ! Its finished. Test it out. Heres an example of a custom 404 page.

Creating Custom color palletes using The GIMP

Creating Custom color palletes using The GIMP

My spouse wants to create art using carefully-arranged Rubiks Cubes. She needs a tool to do it: She needs to manipluate images to the right color and pixellation to look cube-ready (Solving them to the displayed configuration is another issue).

So lets set up The GIMP to do it.

Preparation: GIMP needs to know what colors to use, so lets create a custom color pallette. (This only needs to be done the first time)

  1. Find an image or two with cube colors (Google is handy for this). Copy the images to your clipboard.
  2. Import the image to GIMP: File -> Create -> From Clipboard
  3. Create the new color palette: Image -> Mode -> Indexed -> Use Custom Palette -> Open The Palette Selection Dialog -> New Palette
  4. Select the six colors: Use the color-picker tool to change the foreground color, then right-click in the palette-editor to add each color.
  5. Save the new palette with a name you will remember, like Cube Colors

Changing an image

  1. Import the image into GIMP
  2. Reduce the image to the six cube colors - Image -> Mode -> Indexed -> Use Custom Palette -> Cube Colors
  3. Reduce the image to manageable size with Image -> Scale Image Pick a small size that is a multiple of 3 (3 rows/colums on each cube)
  4. NEED a way to split the image into 3x3 (blown up to 9x9) squares for each cube.

Scripting for batch-resizing: This looks possible using Imagemagick - see "using pre-defined color maps" for an easy way to get Imagemagick to reduce the colors.
